Points

Team Captains must present a roster to me or Ben Thompson by no later than Monday May 4th and no Team additions will be allowed after this point.

The 20 individual categories in the series are as follows:

Men

Pro, Cat 1 19‐34, Cat 1 35‐44, Cat 1 45+ Singlespeed, Cat 2 U18, Cat 2 19‐34, Cat 2 34‐44,
Cat 2 45‐54, Cat 2 55+ Cat 3 10‐14, Cat 3 15‐18, Cat 3 19‐34, Cat 3 35+

Women
Pro, Cat 1, Cat 2, Cat 2 35+, Cat 3, Cat 3 U18

Upgrades

3 top 3’s in a calendar year in a 15 person male XC/Marathon event or 3 top
3’s in a 10 person women’s XC/Marathon Event .

No mandatory upgrades past Cat 1 for 45+ men or 35+ women, but you may move to Pro if you choose.

The events that are in the series will be posted on the home page with links to the events. Please wear your helmet at all times when you are on your bike before during or after the event and please do not litter, pack the gel/bar packets out.

We have a great mountain bike series on tap for the 2009 race series. So far we have 12 races participating in the points overall!! Remember, its a cumulative total at season end with more points based on larger fields so come one, come all to see what Oregon mountain bike racing is all about!

On this page you’ll see the latest series results for individual as well as team racing. Please make sure your team roster is registered with Mike Ripley and the OBRA representatives PRIOR to the season start so that scoring turnaround time is minimized. Thanks again for helping making this series such a blast for all of us Oregon and Pacific Northwest moountain bikers.

Individual Points:

Your points from the TOP 10 XC/STX races in the Oregon Mountain Bike XC Series count towards the individual totals. Tally will be kept as a running total from the first race in the schedule – Echo Red to Red. Please see the race schedule for the most up to date list of oregon mountain bike races included in the series. Please take note of the points total spreadsheet below designating race category point distribution as “A” or “B” depending on the number of participants. No double points and upgrades take 50% of their points with them.

Team Points:

Total of best 5 placings for team members at each XC event. Teams can include any category and any male or female. For example, a team of 5 beginners could compete with 5 experts, all that matters for this are placings within a given category. Top 3 teams for overall series awards. Note: STX events will NOT count towards the team points totals and team totals will be tallied up until the final team event at the Coast Hills Crush XC.
